KADALA CURRY[Kerala style]


Ingredients:

Black channa soaked and boiled-1 cup
Coconut grated- ¼ cup
Onion-1 chopped
Tomato chopped-1
Red chilly-2
Garam masala-2tsp
Coriander powder-1 tsp
Coconut diced-1/4 cup
Red chilly powder-1 tsp
Salt –to taste
Oil-2 tsp
Coriander leave

Method:

In a pan heat 1tsp oil. put the grated coconut and fry till it turns golden brown.
Add garam masala , coriander powder,  and chilly powder and sauté for some time.
Stir all ingredients into fine paste and keep it aside. keep  one sauce pan and heat coconut oil.
Put some mustard,  When it splutter add  red chilly  and diced coconut. stir it well.
Add ginger, garlic paste, onion, and tomatoes . Add some curry leaves and stir it gently. Add channa and mix well.
Add salt and sufficient water and mix well. Add coconut paste kept aside to the cooked channa and boil the curry well.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
