POLI [Andhra style]


Ingredients:

Chirroti rava [fine roasted rava]-1 cup
Gram dal-1 cup
Joggery-1cup
Poppy seeds -1tsp
Oil-as required
Cardamom powder-1tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp


Ingredients:
First to the rava add little water, little salt, little oil ,turmeric powder and poppy seeds. together mix it well and keep it aside for an hour.
 Boil gram dal. In a pan heat the joggery with little water. When it dissolved , filter it and keep it aside.
Once the boiled dal is cool , grind with joggery and cardamom powder, till it is smooth paste.
After one hour the dough ll become very soft and we can stretch as much as we can.
Take a small ball from it and make as a cup like thing and stuff the dal paste. pull the edges and fully close it.
 Now in a chapatti board sprinkle little rice flour and keep the ball and gently flatten it as much as possible without tearing.
 Heat the pan, place the poli and alow it to light brown. Once it gets brown turn it to another side alow it till brown. Serve with ghee .Very thin and tasty poli is ready to eat.
