RIDGE GOURD RASAVANGI


Ingredients:

Ridge goura-1/4 kg
Pasiparruppu-1/2 cup
Kadalai paruppu -1/4 cup
Lemon juice-3tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Curry leaves
Salt –to taste

For grinding:

Red chilly-6
Dhaniya-1tsp
Gram dal-1tsp
Urad dal-1tsp
Coconut grated-2tsp
Oil-as required
Mustard seed-1tsp
Urad dal-1/2tsp
Ghee 1tsp

Method:

First boil pasi paruppu with little turmeric powder. Boil kadalai parruppu in pressure cooker.
 Peel off the ridge gourd and cut into pieces.  In a pan fry red chilly ,dhaniya ,gram ,urad dals, and Coconut till golden brown ,and grind  it as a nice powder.
To the ridge gourd add gram dal, pasiparruppu & salt. And boil till it done. When it boiled add the grinded powder.
In a pan heat little oil, add mustard seed, urad  dal ,curry leaves  and lemon juice. & Serve hot.
