RIBBON MURUKKU


Ingredients:

Rice- 1 cup
Fried gram dal[ pottu kadalai] -1/2 cup
Butter -2 tsp
Omam-1 tsp
Salt –to taste
Oil- as required
Red chilly powder-2 tsp
Method:
First soak rice for 1 hr. Grind fried gram dal as a powder. Separately grind rice as a fine paste.
 Into this add gram dal powder, butter, salt, red chilly powder, omam.
Mix well. Add little hot oil and mix well.
Heat oil in pan and Take small amount of dough and dump into the murukku machine.[ribbon plate]
Squeeze it over the hot oil. Once it turns light brown, remove from oil.
