SURAIKAI KURUMA


Method:

Suraikai – ½ cup
Onion chopped -1
Tomato chopped -1
Ginger, garlic paste – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Chili powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Oil – 2 tsp
Cinnamon, clove -1
Coconut grated -4 tsp
Salt – to taste

Method:

Cut the suraikai into small pieces and keep it aside.
Grind coconut and keep it aside.
Heat oil in a pan add cinnamon, clove and onion and sauté well it onions are light brown
Add tomatoes and sauté well till tomatoes becomes soft.
Add turmeric, coriander, chili powders and sauté well.
Add suraikai and sauté well. Add adequate water and allow to cook.
Add salt and garam masala. Finally add coconut paste and mix well.
Don’t allow to boil too much. Garnish with coriander.
